Annie Shaver-Crandell lives and works in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood After a first career as a medievalist art historian, she has turned her attention as a painter primarily to landscape, still life, and portraiture. She is interested in edges and boundaries, in the power of an image to manifest what the maker or viewer desires, and in flow in all its aspects. Her favorite Latin proverb: Bis dat qui cito dat -- He (or she) who gives quickly, gives twice.
